Chelsea vs United

Tom (@Tom_McGhee):

According to “King” Kenny (I certainly didn’t vote for him), this game is a ‘must-win’ for both teams. Feeling honesty is the best policy, I’ve got to say I can’t envision any scenario where that’s going to happen. If, like me, you are curious as to whether this could ever happen, ask NASA – I tried but they said they had bigger fish to fry and I didn’t have time to pursue it.

Anyway, ignoring unasked for and frankly ridiculous opinions from crazy Scotsman (the Liverpool one), onto the football: Chelsea. The Bridge. John Legend, Leader etc Terry. Mourinho. The context. Various other cliches etc. Trouble is, I can just about remember the OT game – by which I mean I know there was a game but that’s about it – and that was when we still knew what optimism was. Given then our current predicament (which I still maintain is just part of a very elaborate and clever joke most of us don’t get), I can only see us doing what Mourinho did at OT. But probably worse.

Normally, I’d find this hugely upsetting but I’m still on a massive Yakult high from Anderson’s departure.

Prediction: Realist that I am, I still can’t predict we’ll lose; opting for us to nick it after a war of attrition so bland, several spectators are killed by hitherto unseen levels of tedium. Dat Guy Obvs.

.

Brett:

The word ‘one’ – in reference to who was and wasn’t chosen – will be mentioned so many times during the build up to this game that apparently no one is going to be dressing Stamford Bridge in a big onesie to mark the occasion. You can rest assured there’ll be no ones from me. There’s one. And another one etc … Ooooh, I am a one.

It’s the one game one has been oneting since one day about one week ago: The more rubbish one than before, versus the more rubbish one than before.

I haven’t watched one game of football in ages; the last one was the Tottenham one; it was the one before the one just gone, back at the start of December – yeah that one. And I wasn’t really watching that one. I won’t be watching this one either. None of these things are important. Or form part of a wider point, yet. Just showing off. I’m thinking of getting this paragraph put on a t-shirt.

One things for sure(-ish), we’re not going to be witnessing one of the great games between these teams. This one’s got one-all written all over it. Vandals!

Hopefully, Fletcher (looking one step closer to as close as he’s going to get to full power with every game) can get one over on their midfield.

The ones to watch: everyone and someone.

Prediction: One – One. Danny with customary one (times two). One of the planet’s vital organs to collapse as I’ve predicted something other than a United win for on(c)e.

Oh, wait, what’s this media player doing here…

And one more thing *in the Columbo way*… I think it’s going to be 2-3 really.
