Huddersfield vs. United

I think it was Chaucer who first wrote ‘Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin I came to win, battle me, that’s a sin. I won’t ever slack up, punk you better back up’ and to his credit, he was right. I’ve forgotten my point. I hope the others hope I enjoy Endgame but I bet Brett doesn’t.

Prediction: Thor to be fat, [Redacted], [Redacted] and [Redacted] to die/get old. No-one mentions Vision because secretly they all hated him.

I honestly don’t care. In fact, i don’t care so much I’m going to fill this space with the first page of my soon to be sent to some publishers first novel:

The London Casebook of Detective Descartes

Chapter One (page one)

The acrid scent of stale cigarette smoke hung wearily in the air of the dingy Whitehall office. The only sound the buzz of the regulation Scotland Yard electric fire, one bar of which flickered hesitantly in a perfunctory effort to warm the December gloom and also some other background office noise ie people filing reports, typing on typewriters, that kind of low level murmur you get from numerous people talking quietly at once.

Detective Rene “Doubty” Descartes sat at his desk, absent-mindedly flicking his benson and hedges cigarette’s ash from the sleeve of his only detective’s coat, and stared moodily across the pigeon-violated rooftops of old London town. He enjoyed these brief respites from the horrors of crime, they gave him the chance to think. ‘I muse,’ he thought. ‘Therefore…’

The regulation Scotland Yard telephone rang shrilly, shaking him from his reverie. Descartes, rudely awakened from the aforementioned reverie, rudely snatched the receiver to his ear.

‘Sorry to interrupt Sir’ The familiar and warm dulcet tones of Sergeant Police  floated down the line. ‘Sergeant Police here’

‘But how can you be sure?’ Posited Descartes.

‘I think I am Sergeant Police, therefore I am Sergeant Police’ replied Sergeant Police. Some of Descartes thinking was beginning to rub off on him.

‘But if you thought you were Professor Crime would you therefore be Professor Crime?’ retorted the renowned Detective in a really fast time.

‘I see your point Sir, probably not’ replied the trusty and working-class sergeant, hoping this would draw a line under the whole sorry affair, ‘its just that you said “you think something therefore you are something”.’

‘for chrissakes Police, you haven’t got it at all’

And that’s just page one. So…Publishers are interested so if you want in at ground level hmu at www.novelscam.com

Avengers Endgame (2019)

Can’t talk about it until tomorrow I just hope Benno had a ruddy good time at the cinema.

Prediction: lets say 2-1 to us, hopefully. I wish this season would just end and also be stricken from all records.

We will finish in the top 4. Take this to the bank. But, go to Co-operative Bank, not Lloyds. Lloyds will just laugh in your face.

Prediction: 0 – 0 United
