Well I’ve seen a lot of things while I’ve been blogging for Bifurcated…But I didn’t really expect to see that.
The result does suggest City will be more of a problem than I personally gave them credit for at the start of the season. There is a marked improvement from last season. They actually feel more like a team rather than a team of stars.
I can’t (because I’m biased) ever talk about the result without reference to the sending off of Evans. The game would have definitely been different without being down to 10 men, however as I have said many times on this site, you could say ‘Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda’ about every single game ever played in history. The one thing I would like to say is that I don’t blame Jonny Evans, Vidic takes professional fouling to the nth degree and might possibly have been sent off more than once had he played,if you know what I mean.
The real disappointment for me is the form of Ando. A promising-ish start to the season has seen him well and truly now revert to type…so much potential, so little end product. I still have hope for him and I don’t think he’s a bad player.
Thought Evra had one of the games where he forgets he’s a left back and Young didn’t really do much to help him out.
Also still baffled by the Berba situation.
It would have been more shocking if after the Evans sending off City hadn’t been able to kill us off…which until the fourth they hadn’t quite managed to do.
Fletchers goal was goal of the game, so ner ner nee ner ner.
Mancini still insists on keeping his hand well and truly in his pocket…What that is all about I’m not entirely sure.
Very glad they didn’t bring Hargreaves on.
Here’s a thing about Balotelli I wrote for Bifurcated which is kind of current in light of his t-shirt yesterday: Balotelli the Clown
