Shame Danny didn’t get minutes, but that could indicate he’ll be playing a part in the Spurs game on Sunday – let’s hope so (I’ll do all the hoping for us all).

Much praise has to go to David Moyes: that was one of our very best European performances for time.

Who was it who said Bayer Leverkusen’s great strength was in that they were very good at being passive? I’ll ruddy tell you … someone who obviously thinks they are above having a football mouth. That’s who. Have you ever heard the like of it?! I’d just skip this bit if I were you. Damn, I was supposed to put that sentence, about skipping this, at the start. Soz.

Danny’s back. And with Robin still out (I think), could start – which would be relative to my interests. More than anything I’ve missed his thrusting. Not like that.

There’s a lot of talk of Moyes not going out for the win tonight, but, I think, his approach to the Champions’ League thus far – without sending shockwaves, or even ripples across Europe – has been relatively positive, and I expect that to continue, albeit mildly.

I’m fed up of saying how with Carrick being out, other midfield players have an opportunity, so I’m not going to. That doesn’t count.

Leverkusen are second in the Bundesliga, which I’ve heard is a good thing. Let’s hope they pretend to be really terrible, like they did at Old Trafford. More Sami Hyypia, less Sami Hapyyier.

Prediction: 2 – 3. Danny with his customary two. And Danny with an extra one. Fancy Giggsy to score too. And Chicha. How many’s that? (I actually think this will be a 2-2 draw, but will never predict anything but a win.)

I like to add a *one armed conductor movement, for the strings bit*. Where am I? “You’re on your blog, there’s a path in front of you that you’ve been down before, that no-one is following you along. David Moyes has very little European experience, so everyone keeps telling me, or maybe they’re telling everyone and I’m just paranoid – either way I struggle to see how that really matters. Fergie had loads of experience towards the end and still made some humongous errors of judgement (suddenly got a craving for hummus). Besides, The Premier League and The Champions’ League are not as different like, as they once were; not with all those talented players and coaches coming over ‘ere and taking all our not so talented players’ and coaches’ jobs. It’s exciting! A new manager and a new Champions’ League season.

Presuming Danny wont feature and at home we’ll be mostly playing a 4-4-2 (if that even exists anymore), I reckon with the derby in mind, Moyes might stick with Rooney and RVP, to give them more match time, to sharpen their thing. This means, I think, no Kagawa again :-(. I’d go t’foot of our stairs, if Fellaini and Carrick don’t start together in central midfield.

If Kagawa continues to be shoved to the periphery then my bottom lip is going to drag so deep, I’m going to need a shotgun to fix it.

I don’t know anything about Bayer Leverkusen, apart from they beat us once, by not actually beating us once. Good luck with that when away goals don’t count, you big cheats. Oh, wait I just remembered a thing I know about them … Sami Hyypia manages them, lol.
