I did say ‘titter ye not’ at my suggestion of a 1-4 win, and I was right, wasn’t I? Don’t give me any of that, “yeah, but it was 0-3 nonsense”. It’s the same. In fact, if you want to split hairs, technically Danny missed an open goal – so that’s 4. AND they got a ghost goal – so that’s 1. 1-4: LIKE I SAID!
I can’t start going on without first addressing the worst-interview-by-a-player-after-a-cross-cum-shot-goal-in-the-history-of-the-world-ever. T-ClevZ – what were you on about maan?! Your stock is bottoming out! Awful. Just awful. OR without noting the fact we scored from a corner – TWICE!
Anyhooo… It would be silly to suggest anything other than we’ve finally started to turn the corner a bit. Yes, not many teams will beat Newcastle at St. James’s (I refuse to call it that abominable other name), but like I said in my prediction, I always thought we were catching them at just the right time. The result didn’t exactly flatter us, but it didn’t particularly reflect reality either. What did it do? Us – a world of good.
Rooney showed signs of something I have a vague memory of and Rio and Jonny dealt relatively well with what was thrown at them. De Gea showed why he’s number one. Evra showed (you, not me) he’s not number two. T-ClevZ was influential in an actual proper game.
Kagawa needs to start not doing this fading thing he appears to be doing. <Ctrl-P>Danny needs to find the net.
MOTM: Carrick – I’ve become so accustomed to what he provides, I forget to show him love.
