As the season disappears, it’s apparent we’re fast running out of games to see Scholesy at Old Trafford. Maybe he isn’t going to retire after all. Maybe he already has. Maybe I’m just doing the questioning thing to pad out having not a lot to say. You might say there is something poetic about playing Arsenal the week after winning the title if you were that way inclined. All the talk surrounding the “will they, won’t they” guard of honour nonsense is of no interest to me andin my eyes is simply a vehicle for the prescribed drama, so beloved of the sponsors and tabloids.
