Sunderland 1 – 3 United

If ever a game’s relevance was based on events elsewhere then this is it. In a roundabout way there might not be any need for us to even play this game at all. Let the players have the weekend off, especially the players heading to the Euros, they can be that little bit fresher. Actually, as not many of them are English, let them play it, so they’re that bit more tired. Still with me? Never mind.

ANYWAY … Quantum Theory suggests that if lots of people get really excited, that lots of other people (through the adjustment of their electrons and that) get lethargic. SO … If we all get really jumpy and excitable, then possibly City will be low on energy. Aaaah, wait a minute, what if United get really sleepy too.  Forget it.

I told you to get used get used to this quote from me, from a piece I wrote on January 14th…

“And now with the news that Sparky is back, I can envisage a beautiful climax to this gloriously demented excuse for a Premier League season, when QPR go to City on the last day.”

And that’s it. We will win the title.
