Arsenal vs United

Twenty!!

You might say there is something poetic about playing Arsenal the week after winning the title if you were that way inclined. All the talk surrounding the “will they, won’t they” guard of honour nonsense is of no interest to me andin my eyes is simply a vehicle for the prescribed drama, so beloved of the sponsors and tabloids. Already rumours of players turning their backs are circulating – I’m very pleased to be otherwise engaged.

As for the actual match itself: these things can go either way (can’t they always?!), we can either play out of our skin, free from the shackles of City’s non-existent title challenge, or play like a team ready for their holidays.

Will be nice to see Scholesy play before the season’s out, but I expect that’s more likely to happen at Old Trafford. I just have no idea what kind of team we are going to put out – then why should this match be any different.

Arsenal are a strange fruit whose current narrative I find extremely boring.

Prediction:  2-3 (It’s always 2-3)

Goals:  Danny hat-trick (as above)
