United vs QPR

There’s a script somewhere that has Sparky beating us and therefore saving his job – the only problem is the plot is riddled with character flaws. I’m willing to go as far as to say that if we lose this game, I will stop writing these things for good. Oi! Who said they’d “be supporting QPR then” out loud?!

The loss midweek, in the Champions League, will have every little negative impact on the moral of the squad going into this game, if anything possibly positive.

It goes without saying that we need a response after last week’s result (although I just said it anyway), and – at home especially – I can’t see anything but a win. Not a comfortable win, but a win.

QPR have had a bit of bad luck this season, and have lost and drawn games they perhaps could have won, but they’re missing something. If we were away, I’d possibly entertain the thought of them getting a point. I think the jolt of the Norwich result will galvanise us enough.

That was excrutiatingly vague. Well done me.
