There is nothing about that hug that I didn’t enjoy. When the man comes round with the ballot paper asking me what I thought was the hug of the year, I know exactly which hug I’m going to say. That hug represented so much more than the joy of a striker, ending a baron run in front of goal, it encapsulated the season. A manager who’s reluctance in the past to show affection having perhaps shaped his public persona wa *ahem* … too much? Yeah, okay, I’ll leave it there. I wasn’t really feeling it. Still, I did really enjoy it. #conceptualhug

Was it my imagination? or did Rooney look so much more comfortable than previously in midfield? If that were to be the answer to the Rooney conundrum, after all, then that really would be pretty special. I’m imagining Kagawa then being freed up as ‘the number 10′ and I like it.

Was it also my imagination? or did Valencia’s flat-lining United career show a twitch of life?

*rubs eyes*

Lots more good than the bad of previous, I think.
