That’s what happens when you don’t allow a player any time on the pitch…when he gets a chance he doesn’t take it cos he’s not match sharp (Berba obv).
Was encouraged in terms of hunger and urgency. Still not playing well, but Carrick, Berba, Young and Valencia again are not match sharp, so can’t be expected to turn it on on demand. Fletcher is really starting to show what he’s capable of, charging round like a man possesed and rewarded with a well taken goal.
Very happy personally with the night…a glimpse of things to come…the shoots of recovery.
