Liverpool 1-1 United

More than happy with a draw. Regardless of the ins and outs of previous trips to Anfield, we haven’t come away from their with a point that regularly so you can kind of see it as an improvement in a round about kind of a way (althoogh of course you never really do).

The team we started with I thought reflected how little SAF thinks of Liverpool. I can’t imagine that had Rooney been ‘feeling a bit upset’ in the build up to a Chelsea or City game that he would have been benched. Anyway, the gamble just about paid off, proving once again our squad is strong. Chicha also proving once again he’s got that wonderful knack of scoring important goals.

Slight concerns over the defence. With Vida and Rio injured a lot and almost always automatically coming back in when fit obviously unsettles us a bit…we still have a very young goalie, who is still not quite settled himself.

As for the talking points every single player on the pitch when inĀ  Charlie Adam’s position with the ball running away from them would have gone to ground. You could see from Adam’s reaction he was a bit embarrassed, but hey y’all it’s all part of the game right? Doesn’t make it right though does it? (Read this for more on this The Revolution should be on telly )

As for the Evra/Suarez accusations. By far the best thing I’ve read on this is by the very talented Andrew Thomas here: Suarez and Evra: Nobody Knows Anything

Man of the Match: Jones (just because his attitutde impresses me more and more every time I see him)
