
It’s a shame that the first thing we find ourselves saying – if we’re being honest – is how poor West Brom were/are. But they were, and they are and there’s no shame in being honest, honestly. If you can honestly say that you are ashamed of being honest then honestly that’s a shame.
As for the serious stuff … that last goal wouldn’t have looked out of place at Arsenal. Though we did actually score at the end of the passy-passy-passing bit, so it would have looked a bit out of place 99% of the time.
Phil Jones’ goals that aren’t cumbersome child-like volleys only count half, but luckily the overlords at the Pool’s Panel weren’t required to step in; what with our super-fancy-pants Danny goal, and that other one.
Danny still looks very much on for the 26 goal target I set him at the start of the season. It only takes a second to score a goal, someone probably said once, and by my reckoning there’s at least 4,000,000 seconds left to play this season, so perhaps I’m doing him a disservice?
